7 Symptoms of Endometriosis That You Shouldn't Ignore

Many women suffer from severe cramps during menstruation and painful sexual intercourse. These symptoms can also manifest such a serious disease as endometriosis. Endometriosis is a state in which endometrial tissue in the uterus moves outside the uterus. Endometrial cells can grow on the intestines, fallopian tubes, and bladder. This tissue usually becomes swollen and inflamed during the menstrual cycle.

The main danger of endometriosis is that it can’t be completely cured. But this disease can bring a lot of problems without proper treatment. Doctors have often misdiagnosed endometriosis confusing it with pelvic diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, or PMS. The catch is that although many women with endometriosis experience severe symptoms, some are unaware of it at all. We prepared a list of seven symptoms of endometriosis that you should know.

1. Infertility

Between 30 and 40% of women with endometriosis have problems with fertility. This disease causes infertility, preventing the movement of the egg and sperm through the fallopian tube. Many women do not even know that they have endometriosis until they seek treatment to improve fertility

2. Painful menstruation

Terrible cramps that do not go away after taking several antispasmodics or painkillers are one of the signs of endometriosis. You can feel the abdominal pain a few days before your period and it does not end after the first day of your menstruation. This pain can be very exhausting and may not allow you to engage in your everyday activities.

3. Heavy bleeding during periods

Terrible pain is not the only thing that your menstrual cycle can bring with endometriosis. Heavy bleeding is another obvious indication of this disease. Your tampon or pad may be soaked every hour or two for the entire menstruation and you can even notice blood clots.

4. Pain during sex

When an altered endometrial tissue extends beyond the uterus, it can adhere to various organs and fix them in place. Because of this, sex becomes very painful due to the lack of flexibility. In early cases of endometriosis, sexual intercourse before menstruation can be painful. In advanced cases, sex is always painful as well as both arousal and orgasm. Endometriosis tissues will hurt even during masturbation.

5. Long menstruation

Normal menstruation lasts from three to six days. If your period continues more than six days or even a week, this may be another symptom of endometriosis. The cycle may become shorter and menstruation begins earlier than every 28 days.

6. Painful urination and bowel movements

As we already mentioned, endometrial cells can grow on the intestines. It makes a simple routine like going to the bathroom a very unpleasant and even painful event. Symptoms of endometriosis on the intestine can vary from patient to patient. They can include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal cramps, rectal discomfort, and even rectal bleeding.

7. Bouts of tiredness and nausea

Remember the worst case of PMS in your entire life. You probably had a few days when you felt unusually tired, a little sick, and maybe even a little nauseated. Now increase it a hundred times and you will have an idea of how it feels like to deal with the symptoms of endometriosis during menstruation. Endometriosis can cause persistent vomiting, nausea, and exhaustion, which intensify at this time of the month.

3 Tips You Should Know When Buying a Car

Buying a car is pretty hard both emotionally and financially. When buying a car, we usually want the car seller to be sincere and honest with us. But in reality, that is rarely the case. Many people are afraid to buy vehicles from private sellers and turn to car dealerships, both official and non-official dealers and overpay significantly. But it often turns out that dealers are also not honest. What to do? Here are three simple tips for anyone planning to purchase a vehicle.

1. Find out if you really need a new car

Why did you decide that you need a new car? Maybe it would be more profitable for you to use your old car for some time? It may be easier to make repairs and use it for a few more years. This is a difficult decision that requires you to weigh the pros and cons.

Calculate your recent average monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance costs for your used car. Also look at the market prices for your car model, in order to approximately determine how much money you can get when selling your car for cash.

Now add the estimated budget for the new car to the cost of a used one. Taking into account all indirect costs (parking, fuel, insurance, etc.) roughly calculate how much the maintenance of the new car will cost you. Compare the cost of owning a new car with a used one.

Determine the exact amount that is required to put your used car in order. If it turns out that the amount of repair and restoration is more than you need to add to purchase a new car, then there is no point in repairing your car. In this case, it’s easier to buy a new one. It all depends on your income level. If you need to add substantially less money to buy a new vehicle, then buy a new car.

2. Set a reasonable budget

Remember that when buying a car, you must look to the future. Perhaps in a few years, you will want to change the car to a more recent or another model, and you will need to add a decent amount of money. Therefore, depending on your income level, set the maximum budget for the cost of the car for yourself, calculate how much its cost will decrease in a few years.

If you buy a car on credit, you should also set a maximum budget for yourself. Remember that your monthly payments to the bank on a car loan should not exceed 10-20 percent of your monthly income. Therefore, you should always purchase only the model that matches your finances. We also do not advise you to buy a car on credit for more than 2-3 years, since obtaining a loan for a longer period will result in you overpaying.

3. If you have no money for a new car, buy a used one

Many drivers dream of a new car. But not everyone can afford such an acquisition. So what should you do? After all, many are afraid to buy used cars. Of course, buying a used car is a riskier event than buying a new one from a dealer. But if you know how to buy and what to look for when buying, then the risk is minimal.

The safest way to buy a used car is from friends. But such an opportunity is not common. However, you should not be afraid of the used car market. Yes, there are a lot of scammers and dishonest owners. But knowing the basic ways to spot dishonest people, you will be safe.

Before buying a used car, you should fully check the car’s mechanical condition by having it inspected at a certified shop. You should also know the history of the car, whether there are any restrictions on registration and whether there are any liens or an outstanding balance.

All this can be done by any driver on their own using various online services. But if you do not want to deal with this issue, you can ask for help from companies that are engaged in checking the legality of cars sold in the used market. Having received the history of the car, you can then decide on its purchase.

What You Should Not Do Before a Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair removal is the process through which unwanted hairs are got rid of from the body or the face by use of lasers. There are different types of lasers, and each is maximized to work in different areas of the body under different conditions.

Due to advancement in technology, there are medical and home lasers for hair removal. Always opt for medical practice because medical equipment undergoes serious scrutiny compared to others that can be used at home. We shall discuss what not to do before a laser hair removal from a medical point of view.

Before laser hair removal, certain actions and practices should be discontinued or stopped to ensure the treatment is effective. These might include but not limited to the following:

1. Don’t shave, wax, tweeze or completely remove the hair by any other means

The laser will require the shaft of the hair to transmit heat to the follicles and destroy them. The hair should be trimmed a few millimeters above the surface of the skin. The laser adjustments should be set depending on the color, skin type, thickness and the location of the hairs being removed.

2. Reduce the use of cosmetic and aesthetic substances

There are beauty enhancement practices that might increase the sensitivity of the skin and probably make it prone to burns. On the other hand, your dermatologist might prescribe some skin lightening creams or bleaching agents some weeks before taking a laser hair removal if you have tanned skin.

3. Reduce sun exposure

Sun can cause the skin to tan. Tanned skin will almost be impossible to do laser hair removal. Stay away or protect yourself from direct sunlight for at least six weeks before and after a laser treatment. If at all you have to stay out in the sun, use an effective sunscreen to protect your skin. Tanning beds spray tans, and tanning lotions should also be avoided on this note.

4. Don’t book your appointment in a beauty salon or other facilities that offer non-medical services

There is a small line between aesthetic practices that should be performed by a medical doctor and those that can be done by non-medical practitioners. In a bid to save some money the majority of the people get laser treatments from their salons. However, it’s worth mentioning that, it's only a medical doctor that should do laser hair removal. Nurses or any other physicians should only work under the supervision of a doctor or dermatology.

5. Avoid aspirin and other anti-inflammatory medications

Despite this note, it's extremely important to discuss your conditions with your doctor before stopping any medication. In any case, there are many other alternatives for removing hair.

6. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoking altogether for at least two weeks before treatment

these substances are stimulants, and they can increase the sensitivity of your nervous system. As you undertake a laser hair removal, it’s recommended to have a relaxed body as much as possible.

7. Don’t have unrealistic expectations

Those unwanted hairs might be giving you sleepless nights, but it’s worth noting that laser hair removal is a gradual process. A single session cannot give you the desired smoothness. Also, full-body hair removal in one session is impossible. There is a maximum level of the wavelength that the body can accommodate.

What You Should Know Before a Laser Hair Removal

A laser removes hair by killing the cells in the follicle. This occurs when a beam of light is directed onto the skin at a particular point where you want to remove the hair. Almost 90% of people are legible candidates for laser hair removal, but it’s always good to consult with your dermatologist for confirmation. In most of the cases, three to four sessions are enough to remove the hair.

6 Causes of Eye Pain Which You Should Know

Eye pain is a problem which shouldn’t be ignored, otherwise, it may lead to dangerous consequences such as impaired vision, blindness, and even body infections. You should be attentive to your eyes and immediately visit an ophthalmologist if you notice these symptoms:

  • Severe eye pain caused by any injury.
  • Pain accompanied by blurred vision and/or hypersensitivity to light, as well as visual distortions such as rainbow circles around light sources. These may be symptoms of glaucoma. This is an irreversible disease which causes atrophy of the optic nerve.
  • In addition to pain, you experience nausea and vomiting.
  • You recently had an ophthalmologic operation.
  • The pain has suddenly occurred, and previously your ophthalmologist assumed that you had a risk of glaucoma.
  • It’s difficult for you to move the injured eye.

Why Do Eyes Ache?

1. Eyestrain

Eyestrain is one of the most common causes of eye pain. Perhaps you look into the screen of a laptop or smartphone for a long time. The eye muscles are constantly in the same tense position. They accumulate lactic acid which leads to pain.

2. Cornea Dryness

The cornea is the outer transparent membrane of the eye. There are no blood vessels in the cornea, tears give it nutrients and oxygen.

While the cornea is washed with a sufficient amount of tear fluid, everything is normal. But if there isn’t enough moisture, it starts to suffer and this leads to eye pain. Doctors call this condition dry eye syndrome. Various reasons can cause it such as:

  • Very dry air. As a result, the tear fluid evaporates, not having time to give what is needed.
  • You forget to blink. This often happens when working with gadgets.
  • Medications. If you are taking medications such as antidepressants or oral contraceptives, it may lead to eye dryness because of their ability to change tear composition.
  • Contact lenses. If you wear contact lenses every day, you will most likely have eye dryness.
  • Chronic diseases. You may have a chronic disease that affects the composition of the tear fluid. These include diabetes, menopause, blepharitis (chronic inflammation of the eyelids).

3. Cornea burn (photokeratitis)

Burning pain may appear after spending a long time on a sunny beach. Unpleasant sensations will quickly pass by themselves. To avoid photokeratitis, you should simply wear dark glasses.

4. Eye infections

Depending on the inflamed eye area, eye infections are divided into:

  • blepharitis - inflammation of the eyelid
  • keratitis - inflammation of the cornea
  • conjunctivitis - inflammation of the conjunctiva (protein)
  • iritis - inflammation of the iris
  • endophthalmitis is an inflammation of the inside of the eye.

These infections may cause viruses, bacteria, and fungus in the body. Which is why you should immediately visit an ophthalmologist to prevent unpleasant and dangerous consequences.

5. Optic neuritis

This condition is characterized by inflammation of the optic nerve, which passes the information from the eyeball directly to the brain. Optic neuritis is one of the most common causes of sudden visual impairment in young and middle-aged people. It often accompanies the development of multiple sclerosis. The pain caused by optic neuritis increases with eye movements. In addition, it’s also accompanied by a decreased vision and degradation of color vision.

6. Abrasions and scratches on the cornea

You may easily get dust, dirt, and tiny extraneous particles into your eyes in windy weather.

They leave abrasions, scratches on the cornea or stick to it for a while, causing pain which increases when blinking.

How to Plan Your Wedding Budget?

The cost of organizing a wedding is one of the most important topics for future brides. Despite different financial opportunities, the essence of wedding expenses is the same. Individual wishes can increase or decrease the total amount. That's why there is no common budget for a wedding. You can focus on a certain ratio of costs, dividing the entire cost of the wedding on the main item cost.

1. The banquet takes 40%

By combining the place for the ceremony and the restaurant in one place, you will save precious time on your wedding day and avoid additional costs. Give preference to a room with a suitable interior style. This way you won’t need to decorate the room as much.

Restaurants often can calculate the cost based on the total number of guests. It is better to consult with the organizers or restaurateurs in advance about the amount of alcohol. We recommend that you take into account the preferences of your guests.

2. Wedding show takes 15%

The mood of your holiday and each guest directly depends on the master of ceremonies (MC) and program. Pay special attention to this detail. You should be close to the humor and temperament of the person who will emotionally shape the evening. It is also necessary to discuss all the details about the relevant jokes and guest activity.

This item of financial planning includes music and dance groups that will fill the holiday with a special charisma. No need to overload the program with additional performances. The mood at the wedding should remain light and unobtrusive. We advise you to spend the planned amount for two or three performances.

3. Floristics and decor take 10%

Pay attention to seasonal plants to save on the wedding flower decorations. Remember that it is important to sustain the basic concept and not to shock guests with the number of compositions. Plan a wedding decoration budget at the beginning of your cooperation with the designers. They will be able to develop a design that will meet the voiced wishes, without going beyond the financial budget.

4. Photo and video take 10%

If you want to get a quality product, going the cheap route is unacceptable. The only way to minimize costs is to hire amateurs but be extremely careful. Wedding photos are unique and bad shooting can’t be redone. Compare prices for photography and videography with the planned budget and analyze if you can afford them both.

5. Technical equipment of the wedding takes 10%

The musical accompaniment and the lighting of the wedding are integral parts of a good organization. Sometimes the MC works with the DJ and you will not have to resolve this issue separately. The lighting director creates a certain atmosphere at every moment of the celebration. You need to know that the quality of photo and video shooting depends on a professionally exposed light.

6. Wedding planners take 10%

Wedding planners are indispensable people. They will understand your wishes, form the concept of the holiday and integrate your ideas in the best way possible. It is quite difficult to overestimate the importance of the organizer at the wedding. The work of some of them is paid as a percentage of the budget (10-15%) and others set a certain fee for their services.

7. Transportation and unforeseen risks take 5%

If the wedding ceremony and the banquet are in different places, you should think about a shuttle for your guests. It is advisable to provide a financial airbag to keep calm. A wedding is a very beautiful and fun holiday, but sometimes the dishes cracks and something breaks.

What to Do With Uterine Fibroids If You’re Pregnant?

Uterine fibroids are a widely spread condition in women of childbearing age. In most cases, they are not dangerous to a woman’s health. They usually don’t develop into cancer. If they aren’t big and bring no discomfort, they don’t require any special treatment, only regular check-ups with your doctor.

But sometimes fibroids grow big and cause problems. As they grow, they press on abdominal organs that results in severe bleeding and pain. If they start negatively affecting the quality of a woman’s life, then uterine fibroids should be removed.

Uterine Fibroids and Pregnancy

When it comes to pregnancy planning, uterine fibroids can be a problem even if they don’t bring any discomfort to a woman. Depending on the structure and location of uterine fibroids, they can make an obstacle for fertilization. The tumor may squeeze the uterine tubes, making it more difficult for spermatozoa to reach the egg. This also interferes with the ovulation process.

If the size of fibroid is small and it is situated far from the place where the egg is planted, the chances of a successful pregnancy are good. However, uterine fibroids can cause problems during pregnancy. This is what can happen:

  • When a fibroid is close to the placenta, it may interfere with its blood supply and cause placental insufficiency. This results in hypoxia of the fetus and doesn’t let it receive the necessary nutrients.
  • Fibroids can cause placental abruption and miscarriage.
  • As fibroids grow and take up space in the uterus, they can cause underdevelopment of fetus.
  • Tumors extract substances that can cause uterine constrictions that are dangerous for the first trimester of pregnancy.
  • The tumor may cause a breech position of the fetus and become a reason for requiring C-section.

As you can see, the risk is significant. This is why you need extra attention from your gyno during your pregnancy if you have uterine fibroids.

What to Do If Fibroids Appear When You’re Pregnant?

Sometimes uterine fibroids start growing together with your fetus. It usually happens in the first or second period of pregnancy. This may be connected to the stretching of the uterine muscles. Sometimes uterine fibroids degrade in the third trimester due to hormonal fluctuation.

Uterine fibroids rarely need to be removed during pregnancy, but when they do, they need to be removed surgically. In any way, if you have fibroids and you’re pregnant, you should visit your gyno more often to see the development of fibroids and fetus. Hormonal fibroid tumor treatment is not an option during pregnancy.

What If Uterine Fibroids Were Removed Before Pregnancy?

If the scars that were left after surgical removal of uterine fibroids are big, it can create risks for your pregnancy. The more time that passes between the removal of uterine fibroids and pregnancy, the better. Scars need time to heal and partially dissolve to give you more chances of successful fertilization and pregnancy.

What is the best strategy if you’re pregnant with uterine fibroids? It’s better not to touch them at all but be sure to see your gyno regularly. Fibroids often disappear during pregnancy completely. When the baby is born, you can optionally consider their surgical removal. A pregnant woman with fibroids should be especially attentive to her lifestyle, daily schedule and diet.

8 Physical Symptoms of Loneliness

Loneliness is officially recognized as a “disease” and is a real threat to your health and wellbeing. Loneliness has been linked to specific life-threatening conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and risk of stroke as well as cardiovascular disease. The elderly aren’t the only ones affected!

In a world where technology is replacing person to person communication, financial worries often leave you feeling powerless and “real relationships” are sometimes short-lived. Loneliness has become a big issue of our age.

Such a mental state causes many negative emotions like sadness, anxiety, and fear. Thanks to the close nervous connection between the body and the mind, you begin to feel it physically. Scientists have identified several serious symptoms that can hurt you if you are alone for a long time:

1. Muscle Strain

If loneliness leads to serious emotional stress, you may experience persistent and increasing muscle pain. Stress increases muscle tension and depressive disorders are closely associated with increased perception of pain. It can cause a feeling of weakness in the legs, tired limbs, cramps and back pain.

2. Blurred Consciousness

The greatest influence of loneliness on a person is manifested not in the emotional state but in memory. Studies show that excessive forgetfulness and frequent confusion are closely associated with the development of depression. Problems with memory can interfere with work, school, and other tasks which affect decision making and the ability to think clearly. The further your depression progresses, the harder it is to merge back into society.

3. Headaches

Two-thirds of people who are lonely suffer from severe headaches. When a person is depressed, their migraines are much stronger. Duke University Medical Center has studied 1,400 patients with at least one blocked artery for five years and found that unmarried patients and patients without close friends were three times more likely than others to die within the next five years.

4. Digestive Problems

When we are worried about something, our bodies prepare for a fight or flight, which means turning off standard physical functions such as digestion. This can be expressed both in the feeling of a “heavy” stomach and in severe inflammations of the gastrointestinal tract.

5. Decreased Libido

If you are single, you are probably less inclined to erotica. Modern psychologists believe that the reason for the decrease in libido lies precisely in the constant feeling of stress and fatigue, as well as in the absence of constant social interaction.

6. Lowered Immunity

Lonely people often suffer from colds and infections. Studies show a strong connection between loneliness and suppression of the immune system. The feeling of loneliness can cause chronic inflammation, as well as increase the level of norepinephrine in the body, which affects immune functions. One fun fact is that according to statistics, vaccinations are less effective in single people.

7. Changes in Appetite

If you are lonely you may experience a loss of appetite, or suddenly start eating two times more. There are cases when a depressed person simply does not find the motivation to cook dinner and starts to eat fast food, which over time changes the body's taste habits. Some doctors call this the “hunger of the soul” and emphasize the need to learn to distinguish the desires of the body from emotional anxiety.

8. Trouble Sleeping

Loneliness also affects the quality of your sleep. You may suffer from insomnia and feel exhausted after an 8-hour sleep. Researchers suggest that restless sleep in lonely people is caused by the fact that they don’t feel safe.

The link between loneliness and poor sleep quality was almost 70% stronger among those who suffer from the violence of other people. It is also important to note that the lack of sleep reduces energy levels and does not allow you to re-establish social contacts.

7 Healthy Benefits From Laziness

It turns out that women are four times lazier than men. This is due to the fact that the concentration of melatonin in the body of a woman (the hormone responsible for circadian rhythms) is smaller. But is it really so bad as some people think to be lazy?

In our society, it is still customary to condemn those who prefer to take a nap on the sofa in an embrace with a cat. There are so many interesting things in the world, so why not go to the exhibition or the festival? But according to experts, laziness is actually good for health. Set aside all the important things, turn off notifications, let yourself relax and get benefits for your brain and body.

Why Laziness Is Good for Health?

1. You save yourself from burning out

As soon as you stop to perceive yourself as a fighting machine that is able to cope with any question, you stop overworking. During tense moments, boredom and laziness are used as a remedy to restore control over your own body and time. Do not punish yourself for the time that you did not spend on "useful" things.

2. Lower blood pressure

Do you constantly suffer from the desire to nap for half an hour? According to experts, a short sleep for 45 minutes reduces the pressure that grows due to stress. It is absolutely unimportant whether you sleep enough at night. A short term nap after the dinner is a recovery procedure, so you can safely tell others that you are just monitoring your health.

3. You develop empathy

According to a study by the University of Oklahoma, watching TV shows allowed participants to better recognize emotions when compared to those participants who didn’t watch anything at all. The researchers came to the conclusion that the better you pay attention to the story, the easier it is for you to understand people. If Netflix offers you some series, do not refuse it since it will help you improve your emotional abilities.

4. You feel less lonely

The work of our brain is really amazing. You can seriously get attached to a character from a movie or TV series, and this will create the feeling that you have a true friend. Our brain simply does not distinguish whether your relationship is real or fictional, but a new relation allows you to increase self-esteem and reduce the feeling of loneliness.

5. Your skin becomes smooth

Frequently experienced stress affects the condition of your skin, causing acne, psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea. Give yourself time for a small nap with a face mask, because your appearance is no less important than the mental state.

6. It will be easier for you to think

Doing nothing is an important part, releasing your creativity and innovative ideas. It seems that you are losing time, but in fact, you are planting new seeds in your garden of inspiration. Find a quiet place without irritants and focus on your feelings. You can master meditation, which many successful woman use.

7. More sleep - better health

TIME magazine in 2016 reported a large study that was conducted in 13 countries. It’s especially worth to note indicators from Britain, in which most people complained of exhaustion and lack of sleep. Before you discourage yourself from sleeping for a long time, think about how many benefits long sleep can provide: improve memory, reduce inflammation, and improve concentration.

How to Cope With the Stress of Motherhood

Women are raised with the idea that the value of their existence is measured by the family they create and the children they raise. That is how things were in the past, but now the times have changed. Women have the right to vote, to work, to have their own money and real estate. But do their lives really belong to them now?

Giving life to a human being is portrayed in society as the biggest happiness in the world. It’s not a lie but it’s a generalizing half-truth. Being a mother isn’t only about cuddling and bonding with your child. It’s about sleepless nights, tantrums, dirt all over the house, chronic fatigue and a different body. Nothing new, right? But perhaps one of the most difficult things about it is a lack of understanding and moral support.

What They Will Never Tell You

Your husband doesn’t understand what have you been doing all day at home with the baby (when you didn’t even have time to brush your teeth). Social media demands for you to bounce back to your pre-motherhood shape in the shortest terms possible. Mom communities shame you for every choice you make in parenting. No one warns you about that.

Motherhood is not only happiness but not only a struggle too. It’s a complicated thing that involves so many different emotions - from love to hate, from inspiration to exhaustion, from motivation to complete emotional breakdown. There are important things to know about it which every woman should understand to avoid being stressed out by it.

It's normal to sometimes feel unhappy with your motherhood

Motherhood is difficult, and you don’t have to be always happy and consent with it. There can be really hard days when you can’t hold yourself together. It’s normal - you’re just a human being who is trying hard enough. Negative emotions shouldn’t be rejected or become a matter of self-shaming - allow yourself to feel them because that’s how you process them and recover to something more positive.

Your “mom body” is worth love and respect

Yes, motherhood does change our bodies. Some bounce back, some don’t. Yet all mothers deserve love and respect for an amazing thing they did - bringing a new life into this world. Forget what self-conscious trolls and insecure people say, you’re beautiful. Dare to love and accept your “mom body”. Take care of it, eat healthy food, enjoy physical activity, but don’t force yourself to do what you hate and don’t punish it with a strict diet. Never forget about maintaining your health - go to pelvic exams and make diagnostics regularly.

You know better than anyone else how to raise your child

Maybe your child won’t read at the age of three, throws tantrums in the malls or isn’t potty trained although it’s time. Maybe you still breastfeed or haven’t done it at all. Regardless of your motherhood reality, you are a good mother because you do your best and know what is better for your family. And you know it better than anyone because it’s your family not of those that shame you or try to teach you how to do things right.

You are a good mother

The pressure of society over mothers is so intolerable that it’s easy to lose your confidence as a mother and start doubting in yourself. Mom guilt is something familiar to every mom. Even those who shame others, do it to escape from the anxiety that they aren’t good enough. But you shouldn’t. If these thoughts come to your mind, this already means that you try hard. For your child, you’ll always be the best, whose opinion can be compared to this?

Never give up on encouraging yourself and other moms you communicate with. You are all doing a great job - don't be afraid to admit it and preach it!

When a “Sweet Tooth” Turns Sore

Everybody knows that sweets are bad for teeth but whom does it stop from eating them? Today all of mass media is in a rage about the harm sugar does to our health. Despite this, there will always be people who can’t imagine their lives without the daily dose of sweets. It’s just comfort food that is consumed only for pleasure.

Things get serious when lovers of sweets notice pain piercing through their teeth as they chew their favorite candies or chocolate bars. It’s the first red flag to make an appointment with your dentist. If you feel pain in your tooth while eating something sweet, this may signify a problem.

Healthy teeth usually don’t react to food, unless you have oversensitive enamel. In this case, teeth hurt when they come in contact with cold, hot, sour or sweet foods. If the increased sensitivity of enamel was never your problem, most likely there is an abnormal process inside your tooth.

Why Does it Hurt?

There can be several types of problems causing your teeth to get sore as they contact with sugar.

Tooth decay

Tooth decay is the cause of developing cavities in your teeth. The cavity is formed due to the viral activity of bacteria that live in the mouth. They have something in common with their owners because sweets are their favorite food too. When sugar gets inside the cavity, they start eating it and reproducing more actively, continuing to further destroy your tooth.

Damaged enamel

Dental enamel is unable to tolerate such concentration of sugar modern sweets have. In the history of human evolution, such food never existed until now. Bacteria that eat sugar left on your teeth destroy the enamel. This is why it’s very important to remove food leftovers after meals, especially if the food was sweet.

Damaged nerve

Our teeth hurt because they have nerves. Sometimes tooth decay gets so deep that it reaches the nerve and causes pain. Inflammation of the dental nerve is called pulpitis. If tooth decay reached that far, you may need a root canal treatment. In cases when the disease is neglected, there is a risk to lose your tooth.

In any case, you should go to your dentists as soon as you notice even the slightest pain in teeth while biting sweet food. The earlier you start your treatment, the cheaper and easier it will be.

How to Relieve the Pain?

If the pain is severe and you can’t get help from your dentist right now, you can take a pain reliever. You can also rinse your mouth with saline that is easy to make at home. But even if you managed to relieve your dental pain, that doesn’t mean that your problem is solved. You should remove the cause of your pain not to experience it again.

To prevent dental diseases related to sweets consumption, you should be attentive to your diet and oral hygiene. Include healthy food into your daily menu. Never miss your oral hygiene routine after you eat sweets. This shouldn’t necessarily be brushing, rinsing your mouth with clean water will be helpful as well. Keeping your teeth clean and your diet healthy is a must to avoid dental pain.

Your Business: Where to Start and Be Successful

Becoming an entrepreneur is not difficult: how to prepare all documents, today even a schoolboy will figure it out, and most financial transactions can be performed from your smartphone. To create a business that does not end with the initial capital and will inspire you for years is a more serious task. We have compiled important tips on how to start a successful business.

Tips on How to Start a Successful Business

1. Look for the real pain of a particular group of people.

To create an idea and understand whether it will be in demand, you will have to become a doctor for a while, namely, to find out the pain of your potential customers. Look for a real problem, it should not be too small - otherwise, it will not be worth the resources spent on it - and too rare - as there is simply will be no chance to find customers.

The pain should belong to a specific group of people: young mothers, drivers, restaurant owners. If you decide to build a business on your own pain - there is no cafe in your city where you can safely go with your children - check how many more people are concerned about this problem. If it seems that the pain is found, try to understand whether it can be cured and how difficult it is.

And finally, the third question to be answered is whether you can deliver the solution to a specific problem of your client. To understand how real your pain is and the solution you propose effectively, you will have to communicate with the “patients” - that is, with the intended audience. There are enough tools for this: a survey in cafes and other public places, online polls.

2. Do not spend a lot of time on a business plan

The business plan is often referred as almost the most important part of the preparation, but unfortunately, people often spend too much time planning, trying to figure everything out, and the idea itself, in the end, stalls in eternal doubts and attempts at analysis. You may ask for help professionals: accounting services, marketers, etc.

Businessmen recommend not bothering with long-term planning. Modern realities are changing too fast to predict for several years to come. A well thought out, clear, bright idea and commercial acumen will help not to stray from the course, but to determine this course is better for the near future, and not for years.

3. Focus on a small audience

The problem that you plan to solve should be fairly common, but at the very beginning of the implementation, it is enough for you to concentrate on a specific group of people. Find 10-15 people for whom this pain is relevant, offer them a solution. When people like it, they will certainly offer it to their friends and acquaintances.

If people did not like the decision, they did not want to share or use it again, you need to look for another “medicine”. So, if you could not find 10-15 people with such a problem, you should think about looking for a new idea.

4. Save money

At the beginning of your business way, you have to be very stingy. At the start, it is easy to make mistakes and spend money on things without which your business will survive. Call into question every waste, count, save, look for benefit wherever you can, and do not spend money that you do not have.

It is worth starting with your own money, and not hoping for investors: you will probably fight for each penny to be spent efficiently and bring profit.

5. Do not rush to delegate

If you associate a business with a free schedule, a short working day, and other imaginary privileges of a company leader, you should think again before starting your own business. To transfer part of the responsibilities to someone else will not be soon - these are additional expenses. Besides, you can never be sure that the employee will do the work with the same zeal and responsibility as you.

Even after the business starts to make a profit and comes out in a relatively stable phase, you should not rely too much on delegation. You risk to move away from business and not notice that other people are leading the company in the wrong direction. If you want to be successful, get ready to dive into your business as much as possible.

How to Reduce Leg Pain After Wearing High Heels?

Do your legs hurt after wearing high heels? You are not alone. World-famous iconic shoe designer Christian Louboutin said: "High heels are a pleasure with pain". In fact, most women who like to wear them often complain of pain in their legs. But in the end, they are ready to make sacrifices to look stunning.

From a medical point of view, pain after high heels is not the biggest problem. The fact that wearing high heels for a long period of time can have very harmful effects on the health of your feet is much more serious.

Pain after high heels now: what’s next?

We have all seen how people in the movies or on the stage walk, run and jump in beautiful high-heeled shoes. But the reality is that wearing high heels for too long can cause many different problems. From bursitis and plantar fasciitis to corns and calluses.

If you constantly wear high heels, it can lead to even more difficult conditions, such as deformation of the toes or excruciating pain in the ankle joint. The pain after high heels is also dangerous because if you leave it unattended, it gets worse every year!

The problem is that some women prefer to ignore the pain in their legs. For example, a study by the American Association of Orthopedics showed that about 42% of women wear shoes that they like, even if they are uncomfortable.

The pain does not force women to give up high heels

No one is discouraging you from giving up high heels forever - it is simply impossible! But keep in mind the fact that they can be dangerous. If you wear heels all the time, it is very harmful to the health of your toes, heels, feet, and knees. So, if you are going to continue to wear high heels, you need to know about some natural and homemade pain relievers that effectively reduce pain and fatigue in your legs, decreasing inflammatory processes. But if these methods do not help and the pain increases - consult a foot doctor.

Ice is a simple pain reducer!

An ice pack is the most simple homemade product and also one of the most effective when it comes to relieving pain and fatigue in the legs. Ice packs can be used to reduce foot pain and inflammation. You can also use a bottle of ice water, rolling it with your foot to soothe the pain after wearing heels. Here is a simple recipe: freeze a water bottle and put it under your foot. Roll it for a couple of minutes and then repeat it with the other leg. The pain after the heels due to ice subsides in almost every woman.

Vinegar for pain and fatigue in the legs

Vinegar is an extremely useful natural remedy when it comes to treating edema and pain in the foot. Vinegar greatly reduces foot inflammation. Here is a simple recipe for using vinegar to treat leg pain: pour hot water into a bowl and add two tablespoons of vinegar. You can also add a little salt in it. Then put the legs into a bowl and keep them there for 20 minutes.

An alternative recipe: soak a towel in a mixture of hot water and vinegar and wrap it around your feet. Leave a towel for at least 5 minutes and you will feel the difference.

Salt relieves leg pain after heels

Heat and salt are an amazing combination. In order to cure the pain after high heels, dissolve a sufficient amount of salt in hot water and soak the feet in it for at least 20 minutes. Wash your feet well and feel the difference! But salt usually dries the skin - after the procedure, so moisturize the feet.

Mustard seeds for pain in the legs

Mustard seeds can also be used in the treatment of leg pain after high heels. Mustard seeds help to improve blood circulation and reduce inflammation, thereby relieving pain and swollen feet.

How to use mustard for pain in the legs:

  1. Chop mustard seeds and add them to a bowl of warm water.
  2. Soak your feet in water for 10 to 15 minutes and then dry them.

If you like to wear high heels, always keep mustard seeds at home - this natural remedy works better than many expensive ones.

Clove oil for leg pain after heels

Clove oil is extremely fragrant and can be used to heal not only foot pain, but also headaches and other body pain. Clove oil, when used properly, can also stimulate blood circulation. The recipe is very simple: mix 3 drops of clove oil and 3 tablespoons of sesame oil. Massage your aching feet with this healing natural oil and enjoy the result!

Peppermint reduces pain after heels

Pour hot water into the bowl. Add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil, 4 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 4 drops of rosemary essential oil. Keep your feet in the bowl for 10 minutes. If you don’t have mint essential oil at home, brew a very strong cup of mint tea and add it to the water.

Top 7 Trends of the Transport Industry

With increasing competition in the transport sector, companies must introduce new existing technologies and significantly improve the quality of their services in order to stay afloat. What strategies will be successful in the near future of the logistics industry?

Delivery of goods is a significant part of the economy of each country. According to Statista, freight traffic amounted to more than $150 billion US dollars for the country's gross domestic product in 2017. Only FedEx, the leading freight shipping company, received over $60 million. Logistics companies are mainly focused on servicing the e-commerce market.

The key to success in the transport business is to ensure the profitability, flexibility, and efficiency of the services provided. That is why companies must implement modern strategies and trends in the industry in order to compete with other market participants.

Top 7 Trends

1. Safe Roads with Electronic Devices

Electronic log devices (ELD) can have a significant impact on the transport industry. By limiting driver work hours to fifty hours a week, with two days off, these devices can make roads safer by notifying drivers of the need for rest. At the same time, carriers will no longer be able to carry as much cargo as they could before introducing ELD, but the cost of these devices will be included in the cost of carrier services.

2. Unmanned Trucks

Technology for unmanned trucks is still in the process of improvement. There are certain obstacles that its developers face. One of these difficulties is the improvement of the software so that it can work effectively on city roads with heavy traffic. However, this is one of the future trends in the field of transport.

In the long term, transport companies must begin to prepare for the upcoming technological changes in the industry and begin to equip their trucks with self-navigation systems that can “learn” from the experience of real drivers.

Thanks to artificial intelligence (AI) and countless sensors, an AI-capable vehicle can correctly assess road conditions and learn how truck drivers behave in “non-standard” road conditions. In addition, by sharing data between cars, trucks can share the information received and make other similar vehicles smarter. In the long run, these vehicles could potentially become even better drivers than people. Many new passenger cars are also incorporating similar technologies. So if you ever lease a car, chances are it will have some AI capability.

3. Compliance

It is more correct to say that compliance with the rules is more the obligation of each transport company and not a trend. Commercial carriers should keep up with the latest standards and regulations adopted, amended, or replaced by any local, state, or federal government.

4. Blockchain in Logistics

Blockchain is becoming one of the new trends in the transportation industry. One of the promising areas of use of the blockchain technology in the field of transportation is to ensure the accuracy and truthfulness of the records that reflect the performance, service history and various other indicators of vehicles over time.

When a truck is sold as a used one, potential buyers may have questions about how the vehicle was operated. Since blockchain transactions are immutable and transparent, all parties involved in the transaction can be confident that the information about the vehicle is accurate.

Another promising way to use the blockchain in the transport industry is monitoring payloads. One of the factors on which the cost of transportation depends is the volume of cargo and its weight. Using the technology of Internet of Things (IoT) can help determine the amount of space occupied by a particular load. This data can be used to calculate shipping costs.

5. Targeted Delivery

The growth of the e-commerce market leads to an increase in demand for targeted supplies. Providing better service means higher competitiveness. Large trucking companies should consider adding a fleet of smaller vehicles to conquer most of the market. However, targeted delivery can lead to tight delivery schedules or even additional risks in the supply chain. Anyway, targeted delivery is one of the trends in the transport and logistics industry.

6. Distribution of Low-Cost Airlines

Low-cost airlines have gained significant market share and provide a major impact on airfares prices, especially in Europe and North America. They have differentiated levels of service that satisfy undemanding customer service to allow such customers to pay only for a minimal set of services.

Low-cost companies are expanding rather aggressively, reducing prices to ensure a sufficient flow of passengers for their aircraft. Some of them are focused on both national and international flights. Their low price is mainly due to the low labor costs in the countries in which they operate and the less fuel they need to cover the distances. That is why transport companies should strive to improve the efficiency of their services.

7. Delivery by Drones

As part of the growing trend of targeted delivery, some retailers and the transport industry are already testing the delivery of small loads using drones. At the end of 2016, for the first time, Amazon delivered an order to its client using an unmanned aerial vehicle. This delivery was carried out in England under the new Amazon program called Prime Air, which involves receiving an order within 30 minutes.

After the success of Amazon, various companies began to invest in the delivery of drones to increase the profitability of their business. Given the promising possibilities of such a technological approach, delivery by drones will be among the main trends in the transport market in 2020.

Taking into account that the development of new technologies will only accelerate in the near future, transport companies should stay abreast of how the industry is changing. With increasing costs for fuel, auto parts, etc., transport companies should apply new methods and strategies to increase their efficiency. For the same purpose, they must look in the future.

5 Common Myths About Dental Implants

The condition of the teeth of most people leaves much to be desired because of water, climate, and city life. All this leads to the fact that by the age of 40, almost everyone has to go to the dentist not only for fillings but also for new teeth. Every year, dental implants are becoming increasingly popular. But there are still many myths and delusions surrounding this dental procedure. Let’s look at the most common myths and discover the truth.

Myth 1: The implant is a tooth

Fact: An implant is a metal screw made from a titanium-based medical alloy that is inserted into the jaw bone. If you draw an analogy with an ordinary tooth - then this is the root. By the way, their form is similar. The dental crown is installed on implant. That is an imitation of our teeth and the root.

Myth 2: It hurts to install dental implants

Fact: Installing an implant is not more painful than treating caries. It is enough to make local anesthesia and the patient will not feel anything. Of course, you can choose general anesthesia, but doctors go for it only as a last resort. For example, if a person wants to put several implants at once.

If one implant is installed, there is no sense in general anesthesia. After the anesthesia wears off, there can be some discomfort, of course. But in most cases, this pain is quite tolerable and does not require taking painkillers.

The fact is that the jaw bone in which the implant is installed, does not have nerve receptors, and therefore it cannot hurt. But the patient may be disturbed by discomfort from the stitches during a meal. But for the sake of health and beauty, this can be endured.

Myth 3: Implants often do not fuse properly

Fact: Implants are made from titanium. Our immune system takes this material without problems. Today, the success rate of dental implants is 98%. The terrible stories that dental implants are often rejected, appeared many years ago when this method just appeared.

Each case is individual, but overall, the risk that the tooth implant will not settle down is less than 2%. There are some contraindications for installing dental implants such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and some diseases. For example, diabetes mellitus or hypertension.

An important point for those who continue to worry: even if suddenly your body begins refuses to accept the implant, then it can be installed again. And one more nuance, if you are over forty years old, it may be worth examining bone density before getting implants. But you implant specialist will inform you of this.

Myth 4: Implants make you feel uncomfortable

Fact: The implanted teeth are no different from normal ones. But the sensations are, indeed, slightly different. Dental implants withstand chewing loads well but are less sensitive than natural teeth.

The period of getting used to dental crowns that are installed on implants usually takes from several hours to one or two days. Caring for artificial teeth is no more difficult than for your own. It is often recommended to add dental floss to toothpaste, brush, and rinse.

Myth 5: The installation of implants is long

Fact: The installation of one implant usually takes from 20 to 40 minutes. Then another two to four months for it to fully fuse. Do not be afraid, you wouldn’t live with “bare pieces of iron” in your mouth all this time. The dentist will make temporary dental crowns for you.

You have to understand that the installation itself will not take much time. But before it, you must go through a preliminary stage - consult a dentist and cure bad teeth if any. Several specialists will consult the patients before the procedure. And a plan of action is always prescribed to a person: what and in what sequence everything needs to be done.

What Should You Eat to Keep the Intestines Healthy?

If you want to keep the intestines healthy you should include more fermented foods and dietary fiber in your daily ration. The fermented products include kimchi, Kombucha, sauerkraut, miso, and kefir. They all contain microorganisms that are good for the intestines. According to scientists, a healthy intestinal microflora is associated with a lower risk of obesity, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases.

1. Sauerkraut

Pickled vegetables which are sold in supermarkets contain a lot of vinegar and nothing healthful. Sauerkraut contains a lot of probiotics and prebiotics. Both of which are necessary for the proper function of the intestine.

2. Red wine

Alcoholic drinks are also fermented. Red wine, if consumed in reasonable quantities, is good for the intestines. It has a lot of polyphenols and other antioxidants. And alcohol coupled with polyphenols is especially good for our health.

Scientists compared the effects of grape juice, wine and gin on the intestinal flora. It turned out that there is no benefit from gin, but red wine is even healthier than juice. However, the good intestine bacteria don’t tolerate excess alcohol well, so it’s important to not to drink too much.

3. Kefir

Don’t forget about kefir with live bacteria! Kefir is made through fermentation. And milk which is added to kefir is always pasteurized and doesn’t contain harmful microorganisms. According to research, kefir positively affects the bacteria in the intestines. The bacteria contained in kefir are not identical to those that live in us but they release nutrients and therefore improve intestinal microflora.

4. Prebiotics

Dietary fiber is an ideal feed for intestinal microflora. You should double its consumption to stimulate good bacteria growth in your intestines. Prebiotics are present in artichokes, leek, chicory, celery, onions, and garlic. And it’s important to maintain diversity: don’t eat only one or two products from this list. Those who eat different vegetables and sometimes meat have healthier intestines than vegetarians.

“The food we eat has the biggest influence on our gut bacteria. And the most powerful tool that we have in supporting our good bacteria is prebiotics.”  - says the best gastroenterologist in NYC, Dr. Shawn Khodadadian.

We have good news for carb lovers! You can get more dietary fiber even from potatoes, rice, and pasta. But only if you cool them after cooking. When these foods are cooled, a big part of the starch contained in them crystallizes. The fibers won’t be digested in the stomach and reach the intestinal bacteria. Think about eating these foods cold or reheated.

5. Don’t forget about fasting!

Short-term fasting is also good for intestinal health. During fasting, another kind of intestinal bacteria cleans intestinal walls. This process is important for maintaining our immune system. But don’t starve for too long. Studies have shown that during long-term fasting, bacteria begin to eat away at intestinal mucosa. Make unloading days or just take long breaks between meals.

Fast food is the main enemy of intestinal microflora. It contains many emulsifiers and sweeteners. In rodents, it was found that fast food kills the microflora. When it enters the body, bacteria begin to secrete "wrong" chemicals. Scientists associate it with diabetes and obesity.

Change your diet gradually, especially if you have any problems with digestion. Otherwise, you’ll get flatulence. You're on the right track if your stool has changed. In a few days, it should become softer and you will go to the toilet more regularly. This is a sign that bacteria in the intestines are working better.

What Do We Know About Condoms?

A condom is perhaps the most trusted means of barrier contraception. We know that if we want to have protected sex, we need to use it. If it’s torn - you’re in trouble. If you go to a party or to a night club - take one with you. That’s actually everything that most people know about them.

However, if you think that a condom is a 100% guarantee for you to not get pregnant or not to catch an STD - you’re mistaken. Feel shocked? In most cases, it’s not a little latex thing to blame but people’s own carelessness and lack of understanding of the very concept of protection.

Myths About Condoms We Keep Believing

It’s time to uncover the truth about condoms. We have no intention to make you refuse using them. On the contrary - to emphasize that a condom alone isn’t enough; you need to use your brain too to provide excellent protection for yourself and your partner.

A condom is the safest means of pregnancy prevention

Each means of birth control has a Pearl index - a score that estimates its efficiency. For condoms, this score is from 2 to 12%. Compare it to birth control pills - 0.06 - 1.4 % and IUDs - 3%, and you will understand that it’s not on top. But its undoubted advantage not provided by others - the ability to protect from infections.

Condoms are harmless

Only if you have no allergic reaction to the latex they’re made of. However, there are condoms made of polyurethane to serve as an alternative. But physical characteristics and safety of such condoms are worse than in those that are made of latex.

Condoms may fail only because of the manufacturing defect or expired term of use

This can happen, of course, but in most case, it happens because of the mistakes in use. Wrong size, improper technique of wearing or not wearing it in time (the proper time is BEFORE penetration not before ejaculation) are the most common causes of unwanted pregnancy with a condom. By the way, poor choice of lube can also damage the tender surface, so use only special lubricants that are compatible with latex.

A condom is a guarantee that you won’t have an STD

No, it’s not. Although it will surely protect your sex organs if not torn, there are also other ways to catch an unpleasant infection. For example, blood, saliva, and sweat can transfer certain infections too. This is why a condom should not be your only protection but also your mindfulness and a careful choice of partner.

Condom spoils the sensations during sex

Usually, men complaint about this. Many of them say that it can even influence their erection in a negative way. Sorry to disappoint you guys but it’s not the condom’s fault. It is all individual, of course, but condoms cannot influence a healthy erection - maybe you have some emotional issues about it and this may really influence it.

Were you surprised to read these facts? If yes, you should educate yourself more about safe sex. The best way to do it safely is to have a permanent partner that, together with you, regularly goes through STD testing.
